Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

Account data: Name and email address provided via Clerk authentication.

Content data: Source strings, translations, glossaries, and translation memories you upload or create within the Service.

Usage data: Word counts, project counts, and feature usage for plan enforcement and product improvement.

Payment data: Billing information is processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Process translations via third-party AI providers
• Enforce plan limits and usage tracking
• Send transactional emails (billing, account changes)
• Improve the Service based on aggregate usage patterns

3. AI Processing

Your source strings are sent to third-party AI providers (Moonshot, OpenAI, DeepSeek) for translation. These providers process your text according to their own privacy policies. We select providers that do not use customer data for model training. Translated text is stored in your translation memory for future reuse.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security. Each user's data is isolated and accessible only by that user. Data is hosted in secure, SOC 2 compliant infrastructure.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Clerk — authentication
• Supabase — database and storage
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email
• Vercel — hosting and deployment

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data (projects, translations, glossaries, translation memories) is permanently deleted within 30 days. Stripe retains billing records as required by law.

7. Your Rights

You can:

• Export your translations at any time via the Export tab
• Delete your account and all data from Settings
• Request a copy of your data by emailing privacy@transloot.com

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (Clerk session) and theme preference. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
